So I started this blog to follow my journey into photography. I am taking a photography course through New York Institute of Photography and it is quite extensive. I am not sure whether this will take me into the professional field of photography or simply improve the pictures I take for pleasure. Either way I am enjoying what I am learning.
Below are the pictures I submitted for my first unit.
This picture is supposed to illustrate distance with everything in focus from up close to far away. I got the most criticism on this photo because the grass in the foreground is not as in focus as those at a distance.
The second photo is to illustrate selective focus with everything behind the subject blurred. I received some criticism but very little on this photo.
The third photo is to illustrate motion. You had the option of freezing motion or panning with your moving subject. I choose to pan with my subject and because so many students chose to freeze, I was told my photo just stood out. I had no negative feedback on this photo.
